In December of 2023, John and his wife Sara began a special collaborative series of miniature sculptures replicating iconic neon signs and storefronts. Sara Sharp holds a BFA in Metalsmithing from Grand Valley State University. Her disciplinary expertise has contributed to the "neon" wire forming elements of these works as well as some other special details. All aspects of these sculptures are made completely by hand using a variety of mixed media with absolutely no 3D printing. This is an ongoing series with many more to come.
